Casal da eira and Mum

In 2004, Sophie, my mother, came across an old farm from the late 19th century, very close to Óbidos : Casal da eira. The kind of building that says nothing to those in a hurry, but whispers obvious things to people who know how to look. She is immediately seized: by the volumes, the stones, the possibility contained in these sleeping walls. She doesn’t have a team yet, or a schedule, but she already has a vision.

Life, as often, imposes its rhythm. It will take eight years before the construction site begins. Eight years during which the idea matures and becomes more precise. Then finally comes the moment: Sophie draws, traces, imagines without a pre-established architect’s plan. As a guideline, a poetic and simple obsession: that wherever the eye is, there is a perspective, a painting, an intention.

She leads the construction site with boldness, patience and this contagious enthusiasm that we know her. Fifteen to twenty workers, weeks of dust, doubts, and precise decisions. She restores without erasing. She gives dignity back to the farm without removing its wrinkles. She arranges the contemporary with the soul of the old. She chooses objects that have lived, materials that still speak.

Originally, this house was not thought of as a place of public welcome but as a space to gather: a house to create moments to live, for family, friends, long tables, silent complicity, the simple joy of being together.

It is this story, its vision, its perseverance and this desire to create beauty that does good that we open today to the world.

The Beginning : Few years ago, after returning from a long journey through New Zealand, Rudy and I found ourselves longing for a project that would feel as exhilarating as travel itself. The idea of opening the Casa to the world immediately lit us up. More than a couple’s adventure, it became a family project, one that opened possibilities for all of us. The Casa is a collaboration of many hands and minds, each driven by their own craft and passion. The convergence of these energies is what shapes our ideal way of living, seamlessly blending life and work in this place.

The Journey Over the past five years, Rudy and I have learned this craft where it truly matters: on the ground by doing it. Welcoming guests, managing a house, understanding rhythms, details and expectations day after day, season after season. This hands-on experience shaped our vision of hospitality: sincere, attentive, and deeply humanCasa Tudo Bem is the result of this journey, built through practice, care and a genuine love for hosting.

Today  : With the opening of a second Casa Tudo Bem in France, back to our land, our vision has grown clearer and more confident. This new house reflects everything we have learned along the way a deeper understanding of space, rhythm and hospitality. It is a continuation of the same story, shaped by experience, intuition and a stronger sense of what truly matters.

Casa tudo bem

Casa Tudo Bem was born from a desire to share. The desire to offer a different accommodation, where we take care of you. A simple place, where one takes the time to appreciate the pleasures of life.

A place where the noise subsides, where one can really slow down the rhythm of everyday life.

Originally, this house was intended to bring together family and friends, to create moments of sharing and joy. After having enjoyed it, we open its doors for you.  To make you discover this place that is so dear to us and make you vibrate in turn.

Casa Tudo Bem is the promise of a stay in a gentle atmosphere, a warm atmosphere and moments that leave an imprint
